Side Curtain Airbag - Long Wheelbase Kombi, Vehicles With: Third Row Seats: Removal
WARNING:
The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
- Remove the headliner. Refer to: HEADLINER - LOWERING - LONG WHEELBASE, VEHICLES WITH: PANORAMIC ROOF PANEL . Refer to: Headliner - Bus/Long Wheelbase, Vehicles With: Metal Roof Panel .
- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the pin-type retainer.
- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Lift the bracket retainer out of side panel and position the front of the side curtain aside.

- Rotate the clips and remove the bracket. Discard the clips and the bracket.
- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Lift the bracket retainers out of the side panel and remove the side curtain airbag assembly.
