Rear Electric Booster Heater: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the LH front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .

    Vehicles with second row double seat 

  2. Remove the second row double seat. Refer to: Second Row Double Seat .

    Vehicles with second row single seats 

  3. Remove both second row single seats. Refer to: Second Row Single Seat .

    All vehicles 

  4. NOTE: Right hand (RH) shown in illustration, left hand (LH) similar.

    Position the LH loadspace trim panel aside.

    • Position the rear door weatherstrip and the safety belt aside.

    • Remove the retainers and the rear scuff plate trim panel.

  5. Position the front door weatherstrip aside, release the clips and remove the front door scuffplate trim panel.

    • Remove the safety belt anchor bolt and position the safety belt and the rear door weatherstrip aside.

      Torque

      : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    • Release the clips, slide up and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Vehicles with second row double seat 

  6. Remove the retainers and position the front floor carpet aside. Use the General Equipment: Retaining Strap

    Vehicles with second row single seats 

  7. Remove the retainer and the filter housing cover.

  8. Release the clips and remove the scuffplate trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  9. Position the front floor carpet aside. Use the General Equipment: Retaining Strap

    1. Remove the retainers.

      Torque

      : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

    2. Remove the nut and the shield.

  10. Remove the retainers and the LH second row single seat bracket.

    Torque

    : 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

    All vehicles 

    • Remove the retainers and the duct.

    • Remove the front floor B-pillar LH spacer.

  11. Remove the retainers and the A/C auxiliary assembly cover.

    Torque

    : 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

    • Remove the rear evaporator rear outlet and inlet line retainer.

    • Remove the bolts, stud bolt and position the rear climate control housing assembly aside.

      Torque

      : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

    • Disconnect the rear heater electrical connectors.

    • Release the clips, remove the retainers and the rear electric booster heater. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block
