Transmission Fluid Cooler: Removal

- Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 2.5L Duratec (125kW/170PS) .

NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
Release the clamps and detach the coolant hoses.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)

NOTE: Use suitable paper to absorb any escaping fluid.
- Remove the bolt, tube nut and the transmission fluid cooler oil outlet tube.
- Remove the bolt, tube nut and the transmission fluid cooler oil inlet tube.

NOTE: Make sure that no component falls off during removal.
Remove the band seals and backing rings from the transmission fluid cooler.
- Remove the nut and position aside the coolant hose and the bracket.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid cooler.
