Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor: Removal

Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.
- Move the front seat to the full upward position.
- Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
- Detach the electrical connector retainers, and position the wiring harnesses aside.

- Detach the backrest cover straps.
- Route the backrest cover straps through the backrest blower motor snorkel.
- Position the backrest cover upward.
- Release the backrest cover lower J-clip.

NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.
Unzip the backrest cover zipper on each side.
- Position the backrest cover upward.

NOTE: For installation, note the routing of the snorkel.
Detach the hook-and-loop retainer and position the backrest cover strap aside.
- If equipped with a multi-contour seat. Remove the air pump output tube tie strap.
- Release the wiring harness retainer and disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the blower motor manifold from the backrest cushion.

NOTE: The backrest cover and foam has been removed for clarity.
Remove the blower motor.
- Release the blower motor horizontal retainer.
- Release the blower motor vertical retainers.
