Front Center Seat Backrest Latch: Removal

- Remove the front center seat. Refer to: Front Center Seat .
- Lift the seat cushion.
- Release the seat cushion latch.
- Lift the seat cushion.
- Remove the cup holder.
- Remove screws and the seat storage tray.
- Lower the seat cushion.
- Release the seat latch and fold the seat backrest down.
Regular Cab
- Remove the backrest latch cover.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the RH side shield.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clips and remove the LH shield.
- Release the seat latch and raise the seat backrest up.
- Remove the backrest.
- Remove the stop bolt.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Remove the pivot bolt.
Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
- Remove the backrest latch upper bolts.
Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
Super Cab and Crew Cab
- Remove the stop bolt.
- Remove the rear cup holder assembly.
- Release the rear cup holder retainers.
- Disconnect the auxiliary power point electrical connector.
- If equipped. Position the armrest storage compartment lid up.
- Remove the backrest latch cover.
- If equipped. Position the armrest storage compartment lid down.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clip and remove the RH side shields.
- Remove the screws, release the retaining clips and remove the LH side shield.
- Release the seat latch and raise the seat backrest up.
- Remove the seatbelt anchor bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Remove the backrest.
- Remove the stop bolt.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Remove the pivot bolt.
Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
- Remove the backrest latch upper bolts.
Torque: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
All vehicles
- Remove the stop bolt.
- Remove the bolts and the backrest latch.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
