Fuel Pump and Sender Unit: Removal

- Remove the Fuel Tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank - Vehicles With: Midship Fuel Tank .
- Remove the Fuel Tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank - Vehicles With: Aft of Axle Fuel Tank

NOTE: To avoid introducing contamination into the fuel tank use compressed air to clean the fuel pump and sender unit flange surfaces and the immediate surrounding area of any dirt or foreign material.NOTE: Typical application shown.
If equipped, remove the nuts and the cover.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Disconnect the quick release couplings. Position the hoses aside. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

Using the special tool remove the lock ring and the fuel pump and sender unit.
Use Special Service Tool: 310-123 Locking Ring, Fuel Tank.
- Remove and discard the O-ring.
