Pickup Bed: Installation

NOTE:
Pickup bed bolts are a one-use bolt. They must be replaced when removed or loosened.
NOTE:
Diesel 8.0 foot pickup bed shown, all others similar.
NOTE:
Spare tire removed for clarity.
- Carefully install and properly position the pickup bed.

NOTE: Bed bolt installation requires the use of an external Torx Plus ® 24EP or 24EPL socket.
Install new fasteners.
Torque: 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)
- Reposition the wiring harness, install retainers and connect the electrical connectors.
- Reposition the wiring harness, install retainers and connect the electrical connectors.
- Reposition the filler pipe(s) and install the fasteners.
- Fuel filler pipe
Torque: 44 lb.in (5.0 Nm)
- Urea filler pipe.
Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
- Fuel filler pipe
- Install the rear bumper. Refer to: Rear Bumper .
- If equipped, install the pickup bed liner.
- Install the tailgate.
- Check the vehicle exterior lighting for proper operation.
