Sector Shaft Arm Drag Link - F-450 F-550: Removal

- Remove the wheel and tires. Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Single Rear Wheels . Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Dual Rear Wheels .

NOTE: Use the hex-holding feature to prevent the stud from turning while removing the nut.
Remove the steering linkage damper-to-sector shaft arm drag link nut.
Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)
- Separate the steering linkage damper from the sector shaft arm drag link.
Use Special Service Tool: 211-003 (T64P-3590-F) Remover, Steering Arm.

- Remove and discard the sector shaft arm drag link cotter pin.
- Remove the sector shaft arm drag link nut retainer.
- Remove the sector shaft arm drag link nut.
Torque: 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)
- Separate the sector shaft arm drag link from the sector shaft arm.
Use Special Service Tool: 211-003 (T64P-3590-F) Remover, Steering Arm.

- Remove and discard the sector shaft arm drag link cotter pin.
- Remove the sector shaft arm drag link nut retainer.
- Remove the sector shaft arm drag link and tie rod nut.
Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
- Separate the sector shaft arm drag link from the wheel knuckle and tie rod. Support the tie rod.
Use Special Service Tool: 211-023 (T74P-3044-A1) C-Frame and Screw.
