Idler Arm and Bracket: Removal

Position the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
1. Remove and discard the idler arm cotter pin.
2. Remove the idler arm nut retainer.

Remove the idler arm nut.

Separate the sector shaft arm drag link from the idler arm.
Use Special Service Tool: 211-003 (T64P-3590-F) Remover, Steering Arm.

Remove the idler arm bolts and remove the idler arm.
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
