DTC P242E - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit Intermittent/Erratic (Bank 1 Sensor 3)

DTC DESCRIPTION P242E - EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC (BANK 1 SENSOR 3)

Description:	This DTC sets when an intermittent concern is detected in the EGT13 circuit.
Possible Causes:	EGT13 circuit intermittent open EGT13 circuit intermittent short to ground EGT13 circuit intermittent short to voltage Incorrect connections Damaged exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 3 (EGT13) sensor
Diagnostic Aids:	Harness routing, harness alterations, or incorrect shielding may have an intermittent impact on the EGT13 circuit.
Application	Key On Engine Off	Key On Engine Running	Continuous Memory
