DTC P0474 - Exhaust Pressure Sensor A Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

DTC DESCRIPTION P0474 - EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT/ERRATIC

For All Others
Description:	This DTC sets when the input signal to the PCM from the exhaust pressure (EP) sensor becomes intermittent or erratic.
Possible Causes:	EP circuit intermittently open Damaged EP sensor Damaged harness connector Damaged harness
Diagnostic Aids:	Check the harness for intermittent concerns, incorrect connections, routing, alterations and damage due to contact with other components.
Application	Key On Engine Off	Key On Engine Running	Continuous Memory
All	GO to PINPOINT TEST X .
For F-150
Description:	This DTC sets when the input signal to the PCM from the exhaust pressure (EP) sensor becomes intermittent or erratic.
Possible Causes:	EP circuit intermittently open Damaged EP sensor Damaged harness connector Damaged harness Damaged Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) harness Damaged VGT harness connector Damaged VGT actuator Stuck or binding VGT turbocharger
Diagnostic Aids:	Check the harness for intermittent concerns, incorrect connections, routing, alterations and damage due to contact with other components. Check for correct VGT turbocharger operation.
Application	Key On Engine Off	Key On Engine Running	Continuous Memory
