Normal Operation And Fault Conditions

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2021 Lincoln Corsair, 2021 Ford Transit-350 HD, 2021 Ford Transit-350, 2021 Ford Transit-250, and 2021 Ford Transit-150. With the ignition ON, the CCM sends messages to the IPMA over a private CAN.

The IPMA then sends the messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the specified time frame, the module sets a DTC. This can be due to a CCM failure, an IPMA failure, a circuit failure on the network or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the CCM and IPMA, refer to the Network Message Chart in Description and Operation in the  Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control  article
