Normal Operation And Fault Conditions
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2021 Lincoln Corsair, 2021 Ford Transit-350 HD, 2021 Ford Transit-350, 2021 Ford Transit-250, and 2021 Ford Transit-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The EBB contains several hydraulic valves, hydraulic pressure sensors, a linear actuator and a pump motor. These components work in conjunction to provide the force necessary to bring the vehicle to a stop. The ABS module monitors these components for internal faults. If a fault occurs which impacts the base braking system, the ABS module sets one or more DTCs and illuminates the red brake warning indicator.
PPT CO ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| C0047:1C | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor: Circuit Voltage Out of Range | This DTC sets when a higher or lower than expected pressure sensor voltage which is detected within the EBB unit. |
| C0047:64 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure | This DTC sets when a pressure sensor reading that does not match what is expected is detected within the EBB unit. |
| C1013:09 | Brake System Pressure: Component Failure | This DTC sets when an internal component failure is detected within the EBB unit. |
| C1013:7A | Brake System Pressure: Fluid Leaks or Seal Failure | This DTC sets when a loss of brake fluid pressure is detected within the brake system. |
| C1013:7C | Brake System Pressure: Slow Response | This DTC sets when a slow responding brake pressure signal is detected within the EBB unit. |
| C1013:92 | Brake System Pressure: Performance or Incorrect Operation | This DTC sets when a loss of brake pressure or excessive brake pressure is detected within the brake system. |
| C1019:29 | Linear Actuator: Signal Invalid | This DTC sets an invalid signal is sent from the Linear Actuator Control. |
| C1019:78 | Linear Actuator: Alignment or Adjustment Incorrect | This DTC sets when a misalignment or misadjustment concern with the Linear Actuator Control is detected. |
| C1019:92 | Linear Actuator: Performance or Incorrect Operation | This DTC sets when a lack of performance or operation in the Linear Actuator Control is detected. |
PPT CO PCM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| P0555 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit | This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages. |
| P0556 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance | This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages. |
| P0557 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Low | This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages. |
| P0558 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit High | This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages. |
| P0559 | Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Circuit Intermittent | This DTC sets due to differences between the brake booster mounted vacuum sensor signal and the PCM calculated vacuum level. This DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators nor are there any associated service messages. |
| P05FF | Brake Pressure Sensor/Brake Pedal Position Sensor Correlation | This DTC sets if the information from the brake pressure sensor and brake pedal position sensor do not match. This is most likely due to sensor concerns, wiring harness concerns or vehicle communication concerns. |
