Possible Cause

- Brake System Has Not Been Bled.
- G1: CHECK THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) AND RECHECK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all ABS Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS / module self-test.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the Bleed Check routine.
Does they system pass the Bleed Check routine?
Yes No The system is operating correctly at this time. Go to G2. - G2: CHECK THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) AND RECHECK
- Bleed the brae system. Refer to BRAKE SYSTEM PRESSURE BLEEDING .
- Put the ABS
module in sleep mode by performing the following steps:
- With ALL doors closed, set the ignition from ON to OFF.
- Disconnect the diagnostic scan tool.
- Open the door, exit the vehicle and close the door.
- Wait a minimum of 90 seconds for the ABS module to enter sleep mode.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the Bleed Check routine.
Does the system pass the Bleed Check routine?
Yes No The system is operating correctly at this time. INSPECT the brake system for leaks. REPAIR as necessary. BLEED the brake system. REFER to BRAKE SYSTEM PRESSURE BLEEDING .
