Rear Seat Latch: Removal

The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.

- Remove the rear seat. Refer to: Rear Seat LH - SuperCab . Refer to: Rear Seat LH - SuperCrew . Refer to: Rear Seat RH - SuperCab . Refer to: Rear Seat RH - SuperCrew .
- Open the outboard side of the rear seat cushion cover.
- Release the cushion cover rear J-clip.
- Release the hook-and-loop strip.
- Unzip and open the outboard side of the rear seat cushion cover.
Vehicles with rear under seat storage
- Remove the rear seat side shield.
- Remove the screw.
- Release the retainers and remove the side shield.
Vehicles without rear under seat storage
- Remove the screw and the rear seat side shield.
All vehicles
- Remove the bolts and the rear seat outboard riser.
Torque
: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
- Remove the bolt and the rear seat latch assembly.
Torque
: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
