Rear Seat Backrest - SuperCrew: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.
NOTE: LH (left-hand) shown in illustration, RH (right-hand) similar.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to: Rear Seat LH - SuperCrew . Refer to: Rear Seat RH - SuperCrew .
  2. Remove the rear seat side shield(s).

    1. Remove the screws and the rear seat inboard side shield.
    2. If equipped without rear under seat storage. Remove the screw and the rear seat outboard side shield.

    Vehicles with rear under seat storage 

  3. Remove the rear seat side shield.

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Release the retainers.

  4. Remove the screws and the outboard pivot bolt cover.

    All vehicles 

  5. Release the rear seat backrest cover lower J-clip.

  6. On both sides, unzip the rear seat backrest cover.

  7. Release the rear seat backrest cover rear strap and position aside.

  8. Remove the rear seat inboard and outboard pivot bolts. Remove the rear seat backrest.

    Torque

    : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
