DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SODCMC B129C:98 Left Front Side Sensor: Component Or System Over Temperature Set by the SODCMC as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the SODCMC detects a temperature above its calibrated range. SODCMD B129D:98 Right Front Side Sensor: Component Or System Over Temperature Set by the SODCMD as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the SODCMD detects a temperature above its calibrated range. SODL B13F3:98 Left Rear Side Sensor: Component Or System Over Temperature Set by the SODL as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the SODL detects a temperature above its calibrated range. SODR B13F4:98 Right Rear Side Sensor: Component Or System Over Temperature Set by the SODR as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the SODR detects a temperature above its calibrated range. - NOTE: This DTC may occur during extremely high ambient temperature. Allow the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR to cool. The BLIS / CTA system operation resumes after the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR cools.
- R1 CHECK THE DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) MAY OCCUR DURING EXTREMELY HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. ALLOW THE SODCMC (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE C), SODCMD (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE D), SODL (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE LH) OR SODR (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE RH) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Clear Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs) from all modules.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait at least 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR self-test.
- Check the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR DTCs from the continuous and on-demand self-tests.
Is DTC's B129C:98, B129D:98, B13F3:98 OR B13F4:98 recorded?
Yes GO to R2 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to an intermittent fault condition or the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR may have cooled enough allowing the DTC to clear. - R2 CHECK FOR CORRECT SODCMC (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE C), SODCMD (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE D), SODL (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE LH) OR SODR (SIDE OBSTACLE DETECTION CONTROL MODULE RH) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new SODCMC, SODCMD, SODL or SODR. REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module C (SODCMC) . REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module C (SODCMC) . REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
