Transmission Fluid Heat Exchanger Tubes - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel: Installation

- Inspect and lubricate the band seals and backing rings. Install new band seals and backing rings if necessary.
- Seal (7D285).
- Backing ring (7J324).
- Install the transmission fluid heat exchanger tubes and the new stud bolt.
Torque
: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

- Install the new cable bracket bolt.
Torque
: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
- Install the stud bolt nut.
Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Connect the transmission park manual release cable to the transmission lever.
- Install the new cable bracket bolt.
- Connect the transmission fluid heat exchanger tubes to the transmission fluid heat exchanger.
- Install the transmission fluid tube secondary latches.
- Check and adjust the transmission fluid level as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
- If equipped, install the splash shield and the retainers.
Torque
: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
