Pinpoint Test D: Transmission Fluid Leak

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
- Transmission fluid heat exchanger
  - Check the transmission fluid heat exchanger for leaks. Inspect the cooler inlet and outlet, and the heat exchanger element. INSTALL a new transmission fluid heat exchanger as necessary. - Transmission fluid heat exchanger tubes (3.0L Diesel)
  - Check the transmission fluid heat exchanger tubes for leaks. INSTALL new transmission fluid heat exchanger tubes as necessary. REFER to: Transmission Fluid Heat Exchanger Tubes - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel .
- Transmission seals and gaskets
  - If the transmission cooling system is not the source of the leak, check the transmission for leaking seals and gaskets. REFER to: Leakage Inspection .
