The TCC solenoid is a variable force solenoid that varies hydraulic pressure by actuating a hydraulic valve. The TCC solenoid uses proportional operation. Normally low solenoids provide hydraulic pressure proportional to supplied current. A normally low solenoid outputs very low pressure with low (50 mA) or no current, while supplying high pressure with high current (850 mA).
