Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC]: Installation

  1. NOTE: Hand start the inverter system controller [SOBDMC] bolts to prevent cross-threading.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  2. Fill the Electric Powertrain Cooling System. Refer to: Electrical Powertrain Cooling General Procedures Refer to: Cooling System Filling and Bleeding .
  3. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    If the inverter system controller was replaced, upload the information from the diagnostic tool to the inverter system controller [SOBDMC] using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Programming .

  4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Perform the PATS module initialization procedure. Refer to: Anti-Theft Key Programming - Scan Tool .

  5. NOTE: This step is only necessary if the PMI routine was completed using as-built data.

    Using the scan tool, Perform the Transmission Strategy Download. Refer to: Transmission Strategy Download .
