    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
SOBDMC P0DFA:00 Generator Phase U-V-W Current Sensor Correlation: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when there is a current imbalance in the 3 Phase High Voltage AC cables.
SOBDMC P1A0E:62 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Signal Compare Failure This DTC sets when the motor torque is out of range.
SOBDMC P1A0E:64 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Signal Plausibility Failure This DTC sets when a plausibility fault with motor torque is detected.
SOBDMC P1A0E:96 Hybrid Powertrain Control Module - Motor Disabled: Component Internal Failure This DTC sets when a motor phase current checksum error is detected.

    Possible Sources

    • Wiring, terminals or connectors
    • Electric motor assembly
    • Inverter System Controller (ISC)

  2. AV1 CHECK THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL

    • Verify the Inverter System Controller (ISC) is at the latest calibration level.

Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) at the latest calibration level?

    Yes  GO to  AV2
No  UPDATE the Inverter System Controller (ISC) to the latest calibration level.
  3. AV2 VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Visually inspect all the high voltage cables.

    • Make sure all the high voltage connectors are correctly and securely connected.

    • Examine all the high voltage cables and connectors for damaged, burned or overheated insulation and loose or broken connections.

    Is a concern present?

Yes  REPAIR as necessary. CLEAR the DTCs and REPEAT the self-test.
    No  GO to  AV3
  4. AV3 TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE

    • Ignition ON.

    • Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTCs.

    • Access the SOBDMC and monitor the GTQ_CMD (Nm) PIDand

Access the SOBDMC and monitor the GTQ_OUT (Nm) PID

    • While monitoring the PIDs, road test the vehicle under load (above 4000 RPM) REFER to: Road Testing Vehicle .

Are the generator torque command and generator torque out PID readings separated by greater than 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) ONLY above 4000 RPM?

    Yes  GO to  AV5
    No  GO to  AV4
  5. AV4 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Carry out the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.

    Are DTCs P1A0E:62, P1A0E:64 or P1A0E:96 present?

Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Inverter System Controller (ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC] .
    No  GO to  AV5
  6. AV5 CHECK THE ELECTRIC MOTOR CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
