Crankshaft Rear Seal with Retainer Plate: Removal

  1. Remove the following items:

    1. Oil pan. Refer to: Oil Pan .
    2. Flexplate. Refer to: Flexplate .

  2. Remove the rear engine cover plate.

  3. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft oil slinger. Use Special Service Tool: 100-001 (T50T-100-A) Slide Hammer., 303-514 (T95P-6701-AH) Remover, Crankshaft Rear Oil Slinger.

  4. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft rear seal. Use Special Service Tool: 100-001 (T50T-100-A) Slide Hammer., 303-519 (T95P-6701-EH) Remover, Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal.

  5. Remove the bolts and the crankshaft rear seal retainer plate.
