Charge Air Cooler (CAC) -- Air To Liquid Cooled

The CAC is composed of an air to liquid heat exchanger and the tubing used to connect the output of the turbocharger to the intake of the engine. The CAC is designed to cool the induction air which has been heated by the turbocharger. As the heated air flows through the CAC, heat is transferred to the coolant reducing the temperature of the intake air.
