Reductant Tank Filler Hose: Removal

WARNING:
Make sure that the fuel tank is no more than 3/4 full.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Refer to: Diesel Fuel System Health and Safety Precautions .
- Remove the caps.
- Using a knife, slice through the heat stakes holding the fuel filler molding to the outer sheet metal panel. Use the General Equipment: Knife
- Release the clips while pulling the fuel filler door housing away from the vehicle. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
- Remove the bracket bolts.
Torque
: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

- Disconnect the quick connector. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00F).
- Disconnect the quick connector. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling (310-00F).
- Detach the retainer and remove the reductant tank filler hose.
