Pinpoint Test RH: REDUCTANT Heater

NOTE: Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.

DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P20BA:00 Reductant Heater "A" Control Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the reductant heater conductance is out of tolerance with this threshold. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the conductance of each reductant heater during peak power and compares this conductance to an expected threshold. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20BB:00 Reductant Heater "A" Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRC1 circuit is drawing greater than 15 amps for greater than 250 milliseconds. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the RDHTRC1 circuit. When this DTC is set, a short to ground is suspect. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20BC:00 Reductant Heater "A" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRC1 circuit is drawing 0 amps for greater than 250 milliseconds. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the reductant heater circuits. When this DTC is set, a short to voltage is suspect. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20BE:00 Reductant Heater "B" Control Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the reductant heater conductance is out of tolerance with this threshold. PCM P20C0:00 Reductant Heater "B" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRC2 circuit is drawing 0 amps for greater than 250 milliseconds The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the reductant heater circuits. when this DTC is set, a short to voltage is suspect. PCM P20C2:00 Reductant Heater "C" Control Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRPWR circuit is less than 5 volts. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the RDHTRPWR circuit. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P214F:00 Reductant Heater "A" Current Too High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM excessive current draw from the reductant tank heater. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21C2:00 Reductant Heater Relay Control Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM a concern with a reductant heater relay or the RDHTRCTRL circuit. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors each individual reductant heater and harness for concerns. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21C3:00 Reductant Heater Relay Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRCTRL circuit is drawing greater than 6 amps for greater than 250 milliseconds. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the RDHTRCTRL circuit. When this DTC is set, a short to ground is suspect. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21C4:00 Reductant Heater Relay Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM the RDHTRCTRL circuit is drawing 0 amps for greater than 250 milliseconds. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors the reductant heater circuits.When this DTC is set, a short to voltage is suspect. PCM P21C7:00 Reductant Control Module Power Relay/Relays Control Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM a concern with a reductant heater relay or the RDHTRPWR circuit is present. The PCM enables the glow plug control module during a self-test which monitors each individual reductant heater and harness for concerns. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21DD:00 Reductant Heater "A" Current Too Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM insufficient current draw from the reductant tank heater. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P221C:00 Reductant Heater "B" Current Too Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM insufficient current draw from the reductant pressure line heater. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P221D:00 Reductant Heater "B" Current Too High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the the glow plug control module reports to the PCM excessive current draw from the reductant pressure line heater. The glow plug control module communicates to the PCM over a private CAN. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
