Pinpoint Test RG: REDUCTANT Pump

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.

Refer to Wiring Diagrams ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS - 3.0L DIESEL for schematic and connector information.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

Refer to the DTC Fault Trigger Conditions.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P208A:00 Reductant Pump "A" Control Circuit/Open: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump assembly voltage is greater than or less than a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle, while carrying out the appropriate drive cycle procedure, until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. Refer to Drive Cycles for additional information.
PCM P208C:00 Reductant Pump "A" Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump assembly voltage is greater than or less than a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P208D:00 Reductant Pump "A" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump assembly voltage is greater than or less than a calibrated limit for a calibrated amount of time. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20E8:00 Reductant Pressure Too Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant system pressure does not exceed 350 kPa (51 psi) within 45 seconds after the reductant pump starts. The PCM monitors the reductant pressure as the system primes for injection. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20E9:00 Reductant Pressure Too High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the system pressure exceeds 650 kPa (88 psi) for 10 seconds, or 790 kPa (115 psi) for 1 second. The PCM continuously monitors SCR system pressure during closed-loop operation. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P20FF:00 Reductant Control Module Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump control module has an internal concern. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P214E:00 Reductant Pump "A" Current Too High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump control module detects excessive current draw on the reductant pump motor drive circuits. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21CB:00 Reductant Control Module Supply Voltage Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump control module detects an under voltage condition. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P21CC:00 Reductant Control Module Supply Voltage High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects the reductant pump control module detects an over voltage condition. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM U040F:00 Invalid Data Received from Reductant Control Module: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM receives an invalid message from the reductant pump control module. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
