Exhaust Pressure (EP) Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Exhaust Pressure sensor is a 3-wire variable capacitance sensor that is supplied a 5.0 volt reference signal by the PCM and returns a linear analog signal that indicates pressure. The sensor voltage input to the PCM increases as the pressure increases.

The Exhaust Pressure sensor measures the pressure in the exhaust manifold. Exhaust Pressure sensor signal is used for pressure correlation with the MAPsensor and input for EGR valve control.
