Pinpoint Test Ax: Intake Throttle
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.
NOTE:
Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagrams for schematic and connector information.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Condition |
|---|---|---|
| PCM P02E2:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a short to ground from the TACM+ or TACM- circuit. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. |
| PCM P02E3:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a short to voltage from the TACM+ circuit or the TACM- circuit. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. |
| PCM P02E4:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Stuck Open: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle position versus the desired position or the throttle is stuck open when commanded closed. Check for an intake throttle actuator stuck or binding concern. |
| PCM P02E8:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Position Sensor Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle actuator position circuitry. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. |
| PCM P02E9:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Position Sensor Circuit High: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle actuator position circuitry. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. |
| PCM P02FA:00 | Diesel Intake Air Flow Position Sensor Minimum/Maximum Stop Performance: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle offset learn. When the intake throttle offset learn is greater than the expected intake throttle offset a concern is indicated. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. |
