Pinpoint Test Ax: Intake Throttle

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Ford F-150. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.
NOTE: Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagrams for schematic and connector information.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P02E2:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a short to ground from the TACM+ or TACM- circuit.
The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P02E3:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a short to voltage from the TACM+ circuit or the TACM- circuit.
The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P02E4:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Control Stuck Open: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle position versus the desired position or the throttle is stuck open when commanded closed. Check for an intake throttle actuator stuck or binding concern.
PCM P02E8:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Position Sensor Circuit Low: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle actuator position circuitry.
The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P02E9:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow "A" Position Sensor Circuit High: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle actuator position circuitry.
The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
PCM P02FA:00 Diesel Intake Air Flow Position Sensor Minimum/Maximum Stop Performance: No Sub Type Information Sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle offset learn. When the intake throttle offset learn is greater than the expected intake throttle offset a concern is indicated.
The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center.
