Engine Mount RH: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Drain the engine cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the following items:
- Air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- Air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the bolts and the skid plate.
- Remove the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Belt .

- Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connectors.
- Detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Remove the bolts and position the A/C compressor aside.

- Detach the coolant tube retainer.
- Remove the nut and position the coolant tube and bracket aside.
- Disconnect the coolant hose quick release couplings.
- Remove the nut and position the coolant tubes aside.
- Remove the following items:
- Refer to: Starter Motor .
- If equipped. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .

NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the engine mount nuts, stud bolts or damage to the engine mount can occur.
Remove and discard the RH engine mount nuts.
- Remove the engine mount studs.

- Remove the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolts and separate.
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.
Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard the LH engine mount through bolt.

- Remove and discard the stabilizer bar bracket nuts.
- Allow the stabilizer bar to swing downward.

- Position an adjustable stand and wood block under transmission bellhousing. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle StandsUse the General Equipment: Wooden Block
- Raise the adjustable stand 63.5 mm (2.5 in).
- Remove and discard the RH engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts.
- Remove the RH engine mount and bracket as an assembly.
- Clean the engine mount bracket-to-cylinder block and engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.
