Throttle Body: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- Inspect the throttle body gasket, clean and replace the throttle body gasket as needed.
- Install the throttle body, then install and tighten the throttle body bolts in the following 2 stages.
Torque
:Stage 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Stage 2: 90°

NOTE: When connecting the throttle body electrical connector engage the red connector locking tab after fully installing the throttle body electrical connector. The red tab will not slide forward unless the throttle body electrical connector is fully installed.
Connect the throttle body electrical connector.
- Install the charge air cooler outlet pipe, then tighten the charge air cooler outlet pipe clamp.
Torque
: 44 lb.in (5.0 Nm)
- Install the charge air cleaner outlet pipe RH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .

NOTE: PowerBoost shown in illustration, EcoBoost is similar.
Install the engine appearance cover into the rear retain tabs on the intake manifold, then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.
Torque
: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Road test the vehicle.
