Transmission Fluid Heater Coolant Control Valve: Removal

    WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.

    Loosen the pressure relief cap.

  2. With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. Detach the wiring harness retainer and disconnect the coolant control valve electrical connector.

  4. Clamp off the coolant control valve hoses.

  5. Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses.

    Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  6. Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid heater coolant control valve.
