Heater Hoses: Removal

Both hoses 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  3. Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  4. Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 3. Disconnect the coolant tubes. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    Heater inlet hose 

  5. Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 3. Disconnect the coolant tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  6. Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the EGR cooler tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  7. Detach the coolant hose retainer.

    • Detach the coolant hose retainers.

    • Remove the heater inlet hose.

    Heater outlet hose 

  8. Detach the coolant hose retainers.

    • Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the EGR cooler tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    • Release the clamp and remove the heater outlet hose.
