Coolant Pump: Removal

  1. Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .
  2. Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.

  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .
  4. NOTE: Cover the A/C compressor belt to prevent coolant contamination of the belt.

    Completely cover the A/C compressor belt with waterproof plastic.

  5. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.

  6. Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 3. Disconnect the coolant tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  7. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.

  8. Remove and discard the coolant pump gasket and O-ring seal.
