Coolant Outlet Connector: Removal

- Remove the direct injection fuel rail LH. Refer to: Direct Injection Fuel Rail LH .
- Remove the direct injection fuel rail RH. Refer to: Direct Injection Fuel Rail RH .
- Remove the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump .
- Remove the knock sensor harness retainer from the fastener stud.
- Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the fasteners and the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Separate the coolant inlet pipe from the coolant outlet connector. Inspect the grommet and replace if necessary.
- Inspect the coolant outlet connector O-ring and replace if necessary.
