Vacuum Pump: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the engine appearance cover.
- Remove the nut, the bolt and the turbocharger heat shield.
- Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

- Disconnect the vacuum control regulator electrical connector.
- Disconnect the coupling.
- Disconnect the vacuum control regulator and position aside the vacuum harness.

- Remove the nut.

NOTE: The bolts can only be removed with the vacuum pump.
Remove the bolts and the vacuum pump.
- Remove and discard the vacuum pump gasket.
- Clean and prepare the RTV sealing surface. Refer to: RTV Sealing Surface Cleaning and Preparation .
