Headlamp Bulb: Removal

NOTE:
Bulbs are not serviceable on LED (light emitting diode) headlamps. Replace the headlamp assembly.

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

NOTE: Tire and wheel are removed for clarity.
Remove the screws and pushpin and position the front of the splash shield back.

WARNING: The bulb contains gas under pressure. The bulb may shatter if the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb is dropped. Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass envelope. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.NOTE: The headlamp bulb should not be removed from the headlamp assembly until just before a new bulb is installed. Removing the bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb performance. Contaminants may enter the headlamp assembly where they can settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn on the headlamps with the bulb removed from the headlamp assembly.NOTE: Make sure the headlamp switch and ignition switch are in the OFF position.NOTE: The headlamp assembly is shown removed for clarity.
Remove the low beam bulb cover.

Remove the low beam headlamp bulb.
- Rotate the low beam headlamp bulb counter clock-wise.
- Disconnect the low beam headlamp bulb electrical connector.

Remove the high beam bulb cover.

Remove the high beam headlamp bulb.
- Rotate the high beam headlamp bulb counter clock-wise.
- Disconnect the high beam headlamp bulb electrical connector.
