Cabin Heater Coolant Pump - 3.5L V6 PowerBoost (CN): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. WARNING: Always allow the engine to cool before opening the cooling system. Do not unscrew the coolant pressure relief cap when the engine is operating or the cooling system is hot. The cooling system is under pressure; steam and hot liquid can come out forcefully when the cap is loosened slightly. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

    Release the cooling system pressure by slowly turning the pressure relief cap between 2 and 3 turns and remove the pressure relief cap.

  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe RH. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
  3. Release the hose clamps and disconnect inlet and outlet coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Locking PliersUse the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  4. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the cabin heater coolant pump bracket bolt.

      Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

  5. Remove the bolt and the cabin heater coolant pump.

    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
