Steering Column Shrouds: Removal

- Fully extend and lower the steering column.
- Release the tabs and disconnect the gap hider from the upper steering column shroud.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
Vehicles with column shift

NOTE: Gear selector lever removed for clarity.
Release the tabs and position the gear selector boot aside.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
All vehicles
- Release the retainers
- Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left.
- Release the LH retainer.
Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
- Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the right.
- Release the RH retainer.
Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Release the outer clips on both sides and remove the upper steering column shroud.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Remove the lower instrument panel trim panel.
- Release the clips and the tabs and position the lower instrument panel trim panel downward.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Remove the lower instrument panel trim panel bolts.
- Release the clips and the tabs and position the lower instrument panel trim panel downward.
- Release the clips and remove the instrument panel upper trim panel.

Remove the bolts and the lower steering column shroud.
