B-Pillar Trim Panel - SuperCrew: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: Seats removed for clarity.

Upper and Lower B-Pillar Trim Panels 

  1. Position the front seat in the full forward position.

  2. Remove the front scuff plate trim panel. Refer to: Front Scuff Plate Trim Panel - Regular Cab/SuperCrew .
  3. Remove the rear scuff plate trim panel. Refer to: Rear Scuff Plate Trim Panel .
  4. Release the tabs and remove the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner opening trim cover.

  5. Release the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner boot from the lower B-pillar trim panel and position upward on the seatbelt.

  6. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    1. Release the lower B-pillar trim panel clips.

      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    2. Position the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner through the opening in the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Upper B-Pillar Trim Panel 

  7. Release the tab and remove the D-ring trim cover.

  8. Remove the D-ring bolt and position the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner aside.

    Torque

    : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  9. Release the upper B-pillar trim panel clips.

  10. NOTE: The upper B-pillar trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clips to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the upper B-pillar trim panel.

    Slide the upper B-pillar trim panel down, aligning the clips to the slots in the sheet metal.

  11. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
