B-Pillar Trim Panel - Regular Cab: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: Seats removed for clarity.

Upper and Lower B-Pillar Trim Panels 

  1. Position the front seat aside.

    1. Position the front seat in the full forward position.
    2. Position the front seat backrest in the full forward position.

  2. Remove the front scuff plate trim panel. Refer to: Front Scuff Plate Trim Panel - Regular Cab/SuperCrew .
  3. Release the tabs and remove the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner opening trim cover.

  4. Release the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner boot from the lower B-pillar trim panel and position upward on the seatbelt.

  5. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    1. Release the lower B-pillar trim panel clips.

      Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    2. Position the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner through the opening in the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Upper B-Pillar Trim Panel 

  6. Release the tab and remove the D-ring trim cover.

  7. Remove the D-ring bolt and position the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner aside.

    Torque

    : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  8. Release the upper B-pillar trim panel clips.

  9. NOTE: The upper B-pillar trim panel must be positioned upward to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the upper B-pillar trim panel.

    Slide the upper B-pillar trim panel up, aligning the clip to the slot in the sheet metal.

  10. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
