Pickup Bed Power Outlet

Non Hybrid vehicles that are equipped with a 110-120v 2kw to 2.4kw pickup bed power outlet have two 12 volt auxiliary batteries that are wired in series to provide a 24 volt output to support this system. The batteries are located under the rear passenger seat. When testing and diagnosing these batteries, they need to be separated and tested individually.
Hybrid vehicles that are equipped with a pickup bed power outlet utilize the high voltage battery system for this function and do not utilize the auxiliary battery.
