Pinpoint Test G: The PTBA (Pro Trailer Backup Assist) System Does Not Turn The Trailer Sharp Enough

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Parking Aid - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Incorrect trailer setup
    • Trailer yaw rate sensor installation concern

  2. G1 VERIFY THAT THE TRAILER IS SET UP CORRECTLY

    NOTE: The trailer yaw rate sensor needs to be calibrated, if the sensor needs to be moved or installed correctly. REFER to the Owner's Literature.

    • Verify that the trailer is set up correctly and the trailer yaw rate sensor is installed correctly.

    Is the trailer set up correctly and the target sticker or sensor installed correctly? 

    Yes  No action is required. Normal operation due to the hitch angle limiting feature.
    No  Carry out the trailer yaw rate sensor setup. REFER to the Owner's Literature.
