  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    IPMA C1001:98 Vision System Camera: Component Or System Over Temperature This continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets in the IPMA if IPMA camera component or system over temperature.

    Possible Sources 

    • IPMA camera concern

  2. U1 CHECK FOR IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) CAMERA COMPONENT OR SYSTEM OVER TEMPERATURE

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the module in question.

    Is DTC C1001:98 still present? 

    Yes  This may occur during extended use in extremely high weather temperatures. The lane keeping system operation resumes after the IPMA camera cools.
    No  The repair is complete.
