Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor: Removal

Camshaft Position (CMP) Bank 1 Sensor 1 and Bank 1 sensor 2
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: FENDER SPLASH SHIELD .
- Disconnect the transmission wiring harness retainers from the stud bolts.
- Remove the stud bolts and the heat shield.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Camshaft Position (CMP) Bank 2 Sensor 1 and Bank 2 sensor 2
- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
- Remove the LH fender splash shield. Refer to: FENDER SPLASH SHIELD

- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Disconnect the fuel rail electrical connector and position aside. Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
Torque
: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
