Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the LH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  2. Remove the nuts and the fuel tube support bracket.

    Torque

    : Nuts: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. Remove the bolt and stud bolt.

    Torque

    : Bolt: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

    Stud bolt: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  4. NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installing the oil level indicator tube.

    Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector and the harness pushpins. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor cover. Position aside the oil level indicator tube.

    Torque

    : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  5. Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.

    Torque

    : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
