Pinpoint Test D: Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor

NOTE:
Regeneration may occur during normal operation. During regeneration, diagnostic procedures may display biased values. If a regeneration occurs during diagnostic procedures, allow the process to complete before continuing diagnostics.

| PCM P0016:00 | Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation - Bank 1 Sensor A: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects the location of the gap on the CKP wheel is greater than 6 degrees from the expected location on the CMP wheel for two detection attempts. Verify the CKP sensor has been installed and aligned correctly. Verify the CMP11 sensor has been installed and aligned correctly. |
| PCM P0315:00 | Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM has not learned the crankshaft pulse wheel tooth spacing. This DTC disables the misfire monitor. When this DTC is set, visual inspection of the CKP sensor and the crankshaft pulse wheel teeth for damage is required. |
| PCM P0335:00 | Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects the CKP sensor signal is missing for greater than a calibrated number of camshaft revolutions. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. Monitor the RPMPID while cranking the engine. A value of 0 RPM indicates a CKP concern. |
| PCM P0336:00 | Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the PCM detects the input signal to the PCM from the CKP sensor is erratic. The presence of this DTC may indicate the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the IPC message center. Monitor the RPMPID while cranking the engine. A value of 0 RPM indicates a CKP concern. |
