Side Curtain Airbag - Regular Cab: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Lower the headliner. Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - Regular Cab .
Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
1. Disconnect the side curtain airbag electrical connector.
2. Remove the side curtain airbag nuts.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

1. Remove the side curtain airbag bolts.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
2. Separate the front tether clip.
3. Remove the pin-type retainer.

Detach the side curtain airbag hangers.

1. Detach the side curtain airbag retainers from the A-pillar bracket.
2. Pull the side curtain airbag away from the A-pillar bracket.

Feed the side curtain airbag hanger out from between the A-pillar and the A-pillar bracket.

1. Detach the pin-type retainer.
2. Slide the side curtain airbag rearward and out, disengaging the T-tab from the sheet metal and remove the side curtain airbag.
