Collision Warning and Collision Avoidance System - Overview: Overview

The pre-collision assist system is offered as a camera-only option without ACC. An additional safety feature on vehicles equipped with ACC uses both the CCM (radar) and the IPMA.
The forward collision warning system alerts the driver of a collision risk by illuminating a warning indicator located in the IPC information center. The IPC sends a request to the ACM to sound an audible warning chime.
