Pinpoint Test Q: U2108:68

  1. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Lane Keeping System - System Operation and Component Description .

    REFER to: Cruise Control - Vehicles With: Active Drive Assist/Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    IPMA U2108:68 Adaptive Cruise Control: Event Information A continuous memory DTC that sets in the IPMA if messages from the ABS control module or PCM over the FD-CAN are invalid.

    Possible Sources 

    • Communication network concern
    • ABS module concern
    • IPMA concern
    • PCM concern

  2. NOTE: ACC not available.
  3. Q1 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

    • Ignition ON.

    • Connect the diagnostic tool.

    • Using a diagnostic tool, perform a network test.

    Does the CCM, ABS module, and PCM pass the network test? 

    Yes  GO to  Q2
    No  REFER to: Module Configuration .
  4. Q2 CHECK THE CCM MODULE CONTINUOUS MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (CMDTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, check the CCM CMDTCs.

    Is DTC U2108:68 retrieved again? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE any ABS module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control . DIAGNOSE any PCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to appropriate Engine article.
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
